Can you help choose a shipping solution?+
Yes. We compare your destinations, parcel sizes, dispatch process and checkout requirements with the available integrations. For example, a store selling small items may need lockers, while bulky products may require courier delivery. We recommend a technical approach after reviewing the store and the carrier's available services.
Can you connect Omniva, Venipak, DPD or Latvijas Pasts?+
We can assess an Omniva WooCommerce connection, Venipak, DPD or Latvijas Pasts for your project. We first check the carrier's supported countries, services, account requirements and available plugin or API. Locker selection, labels and tracking are separate features: their availability must be confirmed for the chosen integration.
Who signs the carrier contract?+
Your company signs the carrier agreement and receives the required account access. WebDigital handles the technical connection in the store. Delivery tariffs, collection arrangements, compensation and service terms are agreed directly with the carrier. We can explain which technical details are needed, but the carrier approves the merchant account and provides the service.
Can rates depend on weight or order value?+
Yes, when the selected solution supports the required rules. We agree weight bands, order-value thresholds and any exceptions before configuration. Product weights must use consistent units. We also test boundary values, discounts and mixed baskets so a small change in the order does not unexpectedly select the wrong delivery rate.
Can different countries have different delivery rates?+
Yes. We configure shipping zones and the methods available in each zone. A country or postcode may qualify for a different rate or have no supported service. We test representative addresses in your actual markets, including unsupported destinations. The checkout should show the agreed options rather than silently applying a domestic rate to an international order.
Can WooCommerce shipping integration be added to an existing store?+
Usually, yes. A new store is not normally required just to add a carrier. We check the existing theme, plugins and whether you use classic checkout or Checkout Blocks. Any incompatible customisation is identified first. Before replacing a plugin, we agree how staff will process open orders created with the previous shipping method.
When is a custom carrier API integration needed?+
An API integration may be appropriate when a standard plugin cannot support the required workflow. Examples include connecting shipment creation to a warehouse system or applying custom delivery restrictions. We review authentication, available endpoints, error responses and service limits. The estimate depends on the documentation and a clear description of the process your team needs.
What do you need to estimate the work?+
Send the store address, delivery countries, preferred carriers and a short description of your current process. Mention whether you need locker selection, labels, tracking or a warehouse connection. We will then identify the information needed for a reliable estimate. Do not send passwords or API keys in the initial enquiry; access arrangements are agreed later.
Do shipping integrations include labels and tracking?+
We check these features separately. If your carrier account and chosen plugin or API support them, we can configure shipment creation, label retrieval and tracking numbers. We agree whether shipment creation is manual or automatic, then test the required address and parcel data. Your team should understand how to prepare a shipment and respond to a failed request.
What happens if collection points or the carrier API are unavailable?+
We investigate credentials, plugin settings, connectivity and the carrier response. We agree what checkout should do when a shipping method is unavailable, rather than presenting an option the store cannot process. If you need a fallback method or a staff alert, we assess that requirement as part of the scope. A third-party service outage cannot be prevented by store configuration alone.
How do you test shipping integrations before launch?+
We test agreed methods with representative addresses, collection points and baskets. Checks include rate boundaries, discounts, unsupported countries and the shipping data saved with the order. Labels and tracking are tested where included. We agree any live shipment test separately so testing does not accidentally book a paid delivery. Findings and unresolved limitations are discussed before launch.
Should shipping be checked again after updates?+
Yes. Changes to WooCommerce, the theme or a shipping plugin can affect checkout. Repeat the agreed checks after relevant updates: addresses, rates, collection-point selection and order data. Ongoing monitoring and maintenance are separate services to agree. We explain the configured workflow and the checks your team should keep as part of store operations.
