WEBDIGITALSEO AUDIT

An SEO audit that shows what to fix first.

Our SEO audit reviews your website’s technical setup, indexing, structure and key page content. You receive findings with specific page examples, recommended fixes and an order of priorities. We agree the scope around your website and the decision you need to make.

✓Manual specialist review ✓Priorities based on findings ✓Specific recommendations
02SEO AUDIT SCOPE

Our SEO audit covers six key areas.

An SEO audit connects technical findings with your content and commercially important pages. An automated tool score does not replace a manual review: we verify findings on actual pages and identify where further investigation is needed.

SEO audit: technical review

Technical SEO

Robots.txt, noindex settings, canonical tags, redirects, error responses and mobile usability. We review speed issues on the most important pages.

Indexing review

Indexing

Compare the pages that should appear in search with those indexed, where Search Console data is available. Review duplicate pages and the XML sitemap.

Website structure

Structure and internal links

Review navigation, category and service page hierarchy, broken links and how easily important pages can be reached from other parts of the site.

Content analysis

Content and metadata

Check H1 and other headings, SEO titles, meta descriptions, duplicate content and how well pages answer relevant searches. Identify missing or unclear information.

Search performance

Search performance

Review queries, clicks, impressions and page trends in Search Console. Where analytics is configured, also examine enquiries or purchases from organic search.

Audit priorities

Priorities and validation

Group recommendations by urgency and impact. Explain how to validate a fix after implementation and which results need longer-term monitoring.

04SEO AUDIT PROCESS

SEO audit: from review to a work plan.

Your SEO audit follows four stages. We agree the goal and available data, review the website, prepare findings and discuss the next steps.

01 · BRIEF

Agree the goal

Define the target market, key pages, review questions and access needed.

02 · REVIEW

Analyse the website

Review technical SEO, indexing, structure, content and available Search Console data.

03 · FINDINGS

Prepare the report

Document verified issues with page examples, recommendations and priorities.

04 · NEXT STEPS

Discuss implementation

Your team can implement the recommendations. If you need our help, we prepare a separate implementation proposal.

Start with your website address and main question. We will clarify technical details and required access before work begins.
05WHEN TO REQUEST AN SEO AUDIT

Review your position before your next investment.

An SEO audit is useful when search performance changes, a redesign is planned or you need evidence for your next work plan. Recommendations are tailored to your situation.

01
Clicks or impressions have dropped Review affected pages and queries, technical changes and seasonality to investigate possible causes.
02
Before ongoing SEO work Establish a baseline and priorities so you can agree a justified scope of work.
03
Before a redesign Review pages, URLs and content to retain, along with redirects and checks needed for the change.
04
Before a new language or market Review language structure, links between versions and content relevance to searches in the target market.
05
To review previous SEO work Compare changes made, performance data and unresolved issues.

About Google Search: Google Search Central

How does an SEO audit differ from a free check?

The free check is an automated starting point. It can flag technical or page content questions, but does not explain your whole website’s situation. A manual SEO audit adds a specialist’s analysis: we verify tool findings, review important pages and use available search data. For example, similar titles across product pages may need attention, while repeated technical text alone does not establish a significant problem.

The report includes recommendations, supporting evidence and work priorities. The automated tool is useful for an initial review; the audit scope is chosen around your question, website size and available data.

What will I receive after the SEO audit?

The SEO audit concludes with a report and recommended work plan within the agreed scope. We identify issues, affected pages or page groups, examples and likely impact. For each important recommendation, we explain the change needed and how to check it after implementation. For an incorrect redirect, for example, we identify the source URL, current destination and the required correction.

Urgent issues are separated from content opportunities and questions needing more data. The report format and how findings will be discussed are agreed before work begins. Your developer or our team can use the document to prepare an implementation proposal.

Does the SEO audit cover every page?

SEO audit coverage depends on website size and the question being investigated. A small service website may allow review of all main pages; a large store requires agreement on the technical crawl, priority categories and a sample of product pages. Shared template issues can affect many URLs, so the report identifies page groups as well.

Individual copy quality cannot be fully assessed through an automated crawl alone. Before starting, we agree which pages receive manual review, which data is collected site-wide and what is excluded. If further tasks emerge during analysis, their scope is discussed separately.

What access is needed for an SEO audit?

Your website address is enough for an initial review of public pages. Search Console access helps us assess indexing, queries and page performance; analytics can help explain enquiries or purchases. Admin access may be needed to investigate a setting, such as an SEO plugin, language configuration or template behaviour. We request only the access required for the agreed review.

You can create a separate user with suitable permissions and revoke access afterwards. Where access is unavailable, we state the limits of the analysis. An SEO audit alone does not authorise changes to settings or publication of fixes.

Can you implement the fixes after the audit?

Yes. After the SEO audit, we can prepare a separate implementation proposal. The audit identifies what needs attention; the implementation project specifies pages, technical changes, copy, responsibilities and costs. Your team can handle some tasks while we take on others. Before making changes, we clarify how to preserve website functionality and validate the result.

Work involving another system, integration or external developer is accounted for in the plan. After implementation, we check the technical change, while search performance may require longer monitoring. An agreed implementation project does not automatically include every recommendation in the report.

Does an SEO audit guarantee higher Google rankings?

No. An SEO audit helps identify verifiable issues and choose justified improvements, but does not guarantee a position, click volume or number of enquiries. Results depend on competition, content, technical condition, search demand and other factors. Fixing a technical issue may not immediately change rankings: recrawling and a longer observation period can be needed.

We assess relevant pages and queries rather than relying on one overall number. An SEO plugin score is a tool’s checklist result, not a Google score or a guarantee of audit outcomes. After implementation, relevant data is compared with seasonality taken into account.

How much does an SEO audit cost?

The SEO audit price depends on scope and the analysis required. Website size, language count, platform, review questions and available data all matter. Investigating one indexing issue is a different task from reviewing a large online store. To prepare a proposal, we need your website address, target market and a short description of the issue.

We clarify the sections to review, deliverable format and deadline. Analysis and implementation are specified separately if you need both. The cost is agreed before work begins; tasks beyond the agreed scope require a separate agreement. The free automated check does not replace a full manual audit.

How long does an SEO audit take?

The SEO audit deadline is agreed after an initial review of your website and brief. Page count, language versions, data availability and issue complexity affect the time required. Additional access or clarification from a developer must be accounted for in the plan. Before starting, we agree report delivery and how findings will be discussed.

For an urgent issue, we first establish whether a focused technical investigation or a broader audit is appropriate. The audit delivery date differs from the time needed to implement fixes or observe results. Those are separate activities with their own scope and checks.

Is an SEO audit suitable for an online store?

Yes. An SEO audit for an online store reviews priority categories, product pages and shared technical settings within the agreed scope. Filter and sorting URLs, pagination, product variations, duplicates and discontinued products deserve particular attention. We check access to pages intended for search and whether category content explains the offer. For large catalogues, a justified product sample is selected for manual review and template-level issues are identified.

Where data is available, we review queries and purchases from organic search. Rewriting product descriptions at scale, rebuilding filters or changing integrations is not automatically included in the audit and must be scoped separately.

Should I request an SEO audit before a redesign?

An SEO audit before a redesign helps identify valuable pages, URLs and content to retain. We review the existing structure, search data and technical limitations. If URLs will change, relevant redirects, internal links and the sitemap need planning. The new site’s indexing settings should also be checked before and after launch.

The audit does not automatically include migration implementation: URLs, responsibilities and validation are agreed in a separate work plan. If the redesign has already happened and performance has declined, we compare previous and current pages and investigate possible effects of the changes.

Can the SEO audit cover multiple languages?

Yes. An SEO audit can cover multiple languages when they are included in the agreed scope. We review version URLs, links between equivalent pages, language annotations, canonical tags and key page metadata. We check whether language switching leads to the equivalent page and whether internal links retain the chosen language. Content review considers the target market: a direct keyword translation may not match actual searches.

Full translation editing and review of every product description are separate tasks. The proposal specifies languages and pages covered, along with questions needing further language or market research.

What do you check when search traffic drops?

For a traffic decline, the SEO audit starts with its timing and scale. We establish whether the change affects the whole website or specific pages, queries, countries or devices. Search Console periods are compared with seasonality considered; available data is examined for connections with website changes, indexing issues or redirects. Clicks can also fall when demand or the appearance of search results changes.

We therefore do not name one cause without evidence. The report separates verified facts, possible explanations and next investigation or correction steps. If the available data period is insufficient, that limitation is stated clearly.

Does the SEO audit include speed and mobile usability?

The SEO audit can include speed and mobile usability checks on agreed pages. We use available real-user data and lab measurements, distinguishing between them. We examine content loading, layout shifts, images, scripts and access to important actions on mobile. A single PageSpeed measurement can vary with conditions, so findings are not based on one number alone.

We identify major constraints and recommend further technical checks. Server configuration changes, cache setup and code optimisation are implementation work with a separate scope. Speed improvements also need validation against website functionality.

How should I prioritise work after the SEO audit?

The SEO audit helps weigh issue impact against implementation effort. We first consider problems preventing access to or indexing of important pages, and errors affecting many URLs. Next come priority service or category content, internal links and other improvements. Each task needs an owner, a validation method and a defined scope.

Choices also depend on business goals and available resources: the longest technical list does not necessarily represent the most important commercial task. After a fix, implementation is checked; search data is compared over a suitable period. The report can form the basis of an ongoing work plan.
